Partner hospitals
North Star Reach provides life-changing, year-round programs (at camp and remotely) for children with serious health challenges and their families, free of charge.
Area children’s hospitals sharing our vision
Our 12 partnering hospitals and medical centers throughout Michigan and the Chicago area share our belief that camp has the power to promote healing for children with serious health challenges. They are: Ascension – St. John Children’s Hospital, Bronson Children’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Michigan, Corewell Health Children’s, Corewell Health Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, Covenant Children’s Hospital, Henry Ford Health, Hurley Children’s Hospital, Rush University Children’s Hospital, The University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children’s Hospital, University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, and University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Children’s Center.
A Memorandum of Understanding with each institution outlines responsibilities toward ensuring North Star Reach’s success. Hospital partners are a primary referral source for campers and families as well as help provide access to the high-quality medical volunteers that generously give their time to help make camp happen. North Star Reach, as an independent organization and regional resource, provides year-round, cost-free camp programming to children with serious health challenges and their families regardless of their hospital affiliation.
